Your vehicle log book is a guide provided by the vehicle manufacturer's containing information on the specified or recommended service requirements for your vehicle at different KM's or time intervals. It guides your mechanic on exactly what needs attention at that specific service interval. It is also used as record of Services performed.
Why do I need a Log Book Service?
Completing these services on time helps to preserve your vehicle’s re-sale value, extend the life of the car and to maintain the warranty.
Do you have Loan cars and how much do they cost?
Yes! We have a loan car available for hire if required. Please speak with the team regarding availability and price.
Will I lose my New Car Warranty if I don't go back to the dealer?
No you won't. Just bring in your Log Book and we will fill in and stamp it for you. We have more information on this for you in our article. Please click here.
Do you provide Digital reports for the work you have done? or what's wrong with my car?
Yes. You can have a digital or printed copy of your invoice/report. If the issue is safety related, we will contact you straight away.
How long will the service take?
Depending on the type of vehicle, 2 - 3 hours.
How much will my service cost?
Depending on the type of vehicles, what filters need to be changed and what extra items are needed, service costs vary. Please contact us for a service quote to be sent to you.
How can I pay for my Service?
Payment methods David Galea Mechanical accept are card, cash afterpay and PayPal.
When are you Open?
Our Rural View workshop is open Monday to Friday between 0700 - 1700. Perfect for drop offs before work. We are not open on weekends
What is the earliest time I can bring my car in?
You can drop your vehicle off from 0730. We do have a key box for vehicles that need to be dropped off earlier.
Can I drop off my car after hours?
Yes. We have a key box for vehicles that need to be dropped off outside of our trading hours. Please advise us at time of booking.
Is there a secure key drop off box after hours?
Yes, we have a secure key box. Details supplied when you make your booking.
Can I collect my car after hours?
If you have a spare key, yes you can collect your vehicle after hours.
Can you pick up my car from home?
Most times we are able to pick your vehicle up from home if you live in the local area. Just let us know at the time of booking that you need this service.
Can you drop me home when I deliver my car for servicing or repair?
We can drop you back home if you live in the local area.
What happens if something is not right after my car service?
If you think that something is still wrong with your car after servicing or repair please contact David Galea Mechanical straight away and we will help in any way we can. You are covered by the REPCO Nationwide Warranty so you have peace of mind.
Will you give me reminders when my next service is due?
Yes. Our system will send you an SMS 4 weeks before your next service is due.
I don't drive much, do I still need a service?
Generally we recommend an interval of 5,000 km or 6 months to keep you driving safely on the road.
Do you use good quality oils and parts?
We use only Penrite oils and lubricants. Most of our parts are ordered through Repco, so the quality is high.
Do you check my brakes during a service?
We do a comprehensive vehicle safety check with every service. If there are any safety issues, e.g. brakes, we will contact you straight away.
