Safety Certificates & Roadworthy Inspections

David Galea Mechanical in Rural View, Mackay region is an Approved Inspection Station (AIS) and can issue Safety Certificates (formerly Roadworthy Certificates RWC).

In the state of Queensland, a safety certificate is needed when:

  • transferring registration to a new owner
    or
  • when transferring to Queensland registration from another state or territory
    or
  • when re-registering an unregistered vehicle.

This inspection covers the basic vehicle safety standards for many components including:
